Circle of Love is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of its 10th annual golf tournament, held on September 23rd, 2024, at Harbor Club’s beautiful golf course. This year’s event brought together over 24 teams of passionate participants dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence.
The tournament kicked off with a warm welcome from Kimberly Bennett, Director of Circle of Love, and Mika Mills, President of the Greene County Chamber and Chairman of Circle of Love’s Board of Directors. Both leaders expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s continued support. “Together, we can make a difference,” Kimberly stated. “Your contributions today will play a crucial role in furnishing our new Teen Center, providing a safe and nurturing space where youth can find love, support, and hope.”
Participants enjoyed a day filled with friendly competition, networking opportunities, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors across five counties, including Greene, Putnam, Morgan, Baldwin & Hancock. The tournament featured breakfast and lunch, a $10,000 50/50 raffle contest, individual men’s and women’s basket raffles, and several contest including putting, longest drive, and closest to the pin, enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.
Before hitting the greens, attendees were treated to breakfast by PJ’s Coffee, while lunch was sponsored by Eatonton’s Veteran Thrift Store. The Circle of Love team extends a huge heartfelt appreciation to Harbor Club for their exceptional staff and unwavering support, which made this event a resounding success. Attendees were never left thirsty, thanks to the Beverage Cart provided by Fierman Law Firm in Madison, Georgia.
“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and participants for their generous contributions,” said Mika Mills. “This event not only raised vital funds but also fostered a sense of community among all of us who believe in making a positive impact.”
