Circle of Love’s Benefit Concert Hits a High Note

Raising Over $60,000 for Victims of Domestic Violence

On Friday, April 4, 2025, Circle of Love Center hosted its most successful benefit concert to date, drawing over 260 supporters to Festival Hall in historic Downtown Greensboro. With an atmosphere full of heart, harmony, and high energy, the evening celebrated music, community, and compassion.

Headlining the event was The Troubadour Project, an Atlanta-based band that brought the house down with iconic 1970s rock hits by legends like Elton John, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors. Attendees were transported back in time, dancing and singing as the band filled the hall with classic sounds and unforgettable memories. One guest said, “This feels more like a private party than a fundraiser.”

The evening began at 6:00 p.m. with two crowd-favorite food trucks – The Burch, known for its famous smash burgers, and Café Du Papa, serving warm, melt-in-your-mouth beignets and hot donuts. Festival Hall’s exceptional acoustics and small-town charm created the perfect backdrop for a night of fun and fundraising. One out-of-town attendee summed it up best: “I can feel the love in this room. Everyone is visibly happy to be here and support this cause. I am so glad I could be a part of something so special.”

The decor itself carried special meaning. Tables were dressed in elegant shades of purple, adorned with vibrant flowers, whimsical glasses, and playful boas. Members of the concert committee wore metallic purple, adding to the festive yet unified theme. While visually striking and fun, the color scheme held profound significance. During intermission, committee chair Sarah Ford took a moment to explain why purple is the recognized color for domestic violence awareness. “While purple is a beautiful, fun color for our event tonight,” Sarah shared, “I recently learned that the shades of purple also represent the shades of bruising. Domestic violence bruises leave scars—both physically and emotionally.” Her words served as a powerful reminder of the evening’s true purpose.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and guests, over $60,000 was raised, all of which will go directly to Circle of Love’s client services and assistance for domestic violence victims. These funds will provide essential items and services, including food, clothing, safe shelter, transportation, and legal support. With more than 75% of Circle of Love’s clients being children who have faced dangerous situations alongside their mothers, this support will bring hope and healing to families throughout the year.
