About Our Team:
Amy:
Amy McElhenney serves as Vice President and Human Resources Director for Farmers & Merchants Bank, where she has dedicated 28 years to the organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Georgia College and is passionate about supporting her community.
Outside of work, Amy stays involved through her membership in the Kiwanis Club, service on the Georgia Writers Museum Board, and involvement with First Baptist Church of Eatonton. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her two children, and their significant others, whom she proudly considers her bonus children. When she’s not working or volunteering, you might find Amy relaxing with her dogs, taking a nap, or watching a true crime documentary!
Amy is excited to take part in Dancing with the Lake Oconee Stars and support Circle of Love’s mission to serve survivors of domestic violence and their families.
Dan:
Dan Waggoner was born and raised on a farm outside the small community of Waggoner, Illinois, where he developed an appreciation for agriculture, history, and the traditions of rural life. Before beginning his accounting career in 1996 as an auditor with KPMG, formerly Peat Marwick, Dan spent four years living in London, England. Today, he serves as Controller for Central Garden & Pet in Madison, Georgia.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys fitness, historic architecture, and the preservation of historic places. His passion for historic architecture led him to purchase Slade Hall, a historic home in downtown Eatonton, in 2020. He also enjoys exploring different cultures, appreciating good food, and discovering the stories behind the places he visits with his partner, Will Deller.
Dan is excited to step outside his comfort zone and participate in Dancing with the Lake Oconee Stars, bringing a spirit of adventure and fun to the dance floor while supporting Circle of Love and its mission to serve survivors of domestic violence and their families.
